Grooming and Caring

The Cotons do require grooming. As a young dog, it is imperative that you get the dog used to regular grooming. A full brush out 2 to 3 times a week is best and baths every 1 to 2 weeks. Never brush a dry coat, always lightly mist with a hydrating spray.

Since our Cotons are showdogs they have to have a full coat which means that their coat is never cut.

My Cotons have weekly baths where I also cut the nails and trim the fur between their foot pads. I use different shampoos and conditioners from Iv San Bernard simply because their coats have different needs. In addition to good shampoos and conditioners I give them Biotin Forte tablets and Omega SkinCare daily.

On a daily basis they come up on table and get their eyes cleaned and face "washed" if there is any remainders from their food.

When raining and snowing, it's important to wash their paws and dry them thoroughly. Wet paws could end up with bacteria and fungi.

I'm happy to help and give advice when it comes to grooming.

Approximately every second month we visit Mai-Britt for a full body massage and adjusment if needed.
